About
Many people today feel impotent, unable to express their authentic selves. Others feel that they have lost touch with their true natures. Stuck in this feeling, they often resort to acquiring material wealth for its own sake, or seek refuge in alcohol and drugs.
The mission of Transpersonal Dynamics is to help people to get back in touch with their true selves and to be able to express themselves in a congruent way. In addition, we recognize that our human experience is a spiritual one that includes our interconnectedness with each other.
Transpersonal Dynamics is based upon an optimistic view of human nature. One of the problems with conventional psychology, pysychoanalysis and psychotherapy, and a reason why many people turn away from them, dissatisfied, is that so many theories of the mind and of our mental states are developed from looking at sick minds and unhealthy states. We prefer to focus on the healthy, and the positive, and on helping people develop strategies for reconnecting with their deeper Selves and for experiencing inner empathy.
Another conventional approach that we reject is the abstract division of mind from the spirit. Our vision of humanity is as a combination of mind, body and spirit. Any divisions, though they may be useful in discussing issues, are illusionary and arbitrary. In attempting to portray itself as a science, psychology has lost site of the spiritual and metaphysical, in some cases entirely denying its existence!
And whilst this is challenging enough in a personal context, we will also be addressing the even more challenging question: how do we achieve this in the workplace?
